PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Welcome to Stonybrook Middle School, where our focus is on providing engaging instruction that will help our students develop the skills needed to obtain mastery on the Indiana academic indicators.  Our staff is committed to the achievement of our students.  Through the 8-Step Process, we are focused on becoming a highly effective school that aligns planning, instruction, assesssment, and support geared towards the successful performance of our students.

As a staff we have devoted ourselves to working collaboratively and expanding opportunities for our students and each other.  We also accept ownership and accountability for our academic achievement as a school.

It is an honor to serve as the principal for Stonybrook Middle School as we work together to prepare a diverse community of students to become life-long learners in an every-changing world.

Your principal,

Mrs. Griffin

"I believe our students deserve the opportunity to become servant leaders.  When they see solid examples of servant leadership demonstrated by peers, teachers, staff, and administrators on a daily basis they learn the value of lifting one another up, as well as themselves.  As a school, if we choose to lift each other up academically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually...we are choosing service and that equals success."

~ Mrs. Griffin
